The City of Clarksville, Texas is located two and a half hours from the Dallas\Fort Worth Metroplex that is served by the D\FW International Airport.  Just fifty miles east is the Texarkana, USA airport that has commuter service to D\FW Airport.   Paris, Texas has 6 flights daily to the Dallas\Fort Worth International Airport.

 

College\Universities

Paris Junior College is located in Paris, Texas 30 miles West of Clarksville.  

Texarkana, USA is home of Texarkana College and Texas A & M University - Texarkana.  Texarkana is located 50 miles East of Clarksville.

Clarksville enjoys a mild climate through out the year with an average annual temperature of 65.8 degrees and an average relative humidity of 50% with an annual average rainfall of 45.29 inches.

Interstate Access

The City of Clarksville is located at the intersection of State Highway 82 and State Highway 37.  Traveling South on Highway 37 it is approximately 30 miles to Interstate 30 West.  Traveling East on Highway 82 it is 40 miles to Interstate 30 East.  Both Highways are State maintained with improved shoulders.

 

Enterprise Zone

The Clarksville Industrial Park is located well within the Clarksville, Red River Enterprise Zone.

 

Electrical

the City of Clarksville is served by Texas Utilities with a reserve generating capacity of 23.3% and a KW peak demand of 18,007,000.  TU is capable of serving your needs for many years in the future.

 

Water\Sewer

The City of Clarksville is fortunate to be classified by the State of Texas as a Superior Water Rating.  The capacity of the City's water treatment plant is 1.3 MGD with an average consumption of .5MGD.  The City provides waste water treatment with an Activated Sludge WWTP permitted at 0.&MGD with an average usage of 0>35 MGD.

 

Incentives

Certain Incentive programs could be in place that could prove to be very lucrative to a business locating in the Enterprise Zone in Red River County, Texas.   The J.T.P.A. funds for training employees up to one-half of employees salary for up to six months.  Several issues would need to be addressed that could entitle a company to low interest loans and state grants.

 

Quality of Life

Clarksville, Red River County, Texas is a small geographical well-located community with a pro-industry attitude.  Hunting and Fishing are some of the best in the state.  The City has 3 parks, 2 country clubs, 5 restaurants, 4 tennis courts, 1 fitness center, a championship golf course, and the old church theater.  there are over twenty churches located in Red River County.  East Texas Medical Center operates the County Hospital.  There are seven doctors and four dentists practicing within the county.

The people of the community have a great work ethic.  The average wage is lower than urban locations.  The presence of union activity is unlikely.  Red River County has a stron work force to draw from.
