Robert Wesley Giddens
CLARKSVILLE
— Robert Wesley Giddens, 92, of Clarksville went to be with Lord Jesus on
Tuesday, Oct. 15, 2002, in East Texas Medical Center.
Funeral services are set for 2 p.m. Friday, Oct. 18, in the Lindeman Chapel of
Clarksville Funeral Home. Interment will follow in Stone’s Chapel Cemetery
under the direction of Clarksville Funeral Home.
The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.
He was born Sept. 6, 1910, in Red River County, to Francie Marion and Alice
Crabtree Giddens. He was a retired heavy equipment operator.
He was a past member of the IOOF and a member of the College Avenue Baptist
Church.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Hazel Maxine Watson Giddens; daughter,
Alice Fay Collins; one brother; and one sister.
Survivors include his sons, James Marion “Jim” Giddens and wife, Linda Sue,
of Paris; son-in-law, Ed Collins of Amarillo; Loretta Mae Kilmer and husband,
Ernest, of Rockport; sister-in-law, Tommie Jean Childers of Clarksville;
brother, George M. Giddens and wife, Rebecca, of Clarksville; eight
grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren.
