Darrell ‘Dale’ Stanphill
CLARKSVILLE — Darrell “Dale” Stanphill, 58, of Dallas died
Wednesday, Jan. 8, 2003, at his residence.
Funeral services are set for 2 p.m. Sunday, Jan. 12, at First Baptist Church
with the Rev. Mark Gossett officiating. Burial will follow in Stones Chapel
under the direction of Clarksville Funeral Home.
He was born May 2, 1944, in Red River County, the son of Herbert R. and Maurine
Woods Stanphill. He was a member of the Baptist church and the owner of Custom
Craft Windows.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Mary Diana Stanphill, on April 7, 2001;
and his father.
Survivors include his mother, Maurine Woods Stanphill of Mount Vernon; a son,
James Darrell Stanphill of Red Oak; a daughter, Georgia Simms of Dallas;
sisters, Ramona Wood and Mable Cook of Mount Vernon, Mary Griffin of Forney,
Debra Price of Allen and Brenda Green of Dallas; brothers, Herb Stanphill of
Boxelder, Jacke Stanphill of Dallas and Ronnie Stanphill of Red Oak; seven
grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.
